Congratulations on a fascinating and brilliantly written blog! The travel community at trivago aspire to building a database of the most popular attractions and accommodation options globally and offer a selection of photographs and reviews as a reference for prospective travellers. In this sense I would have been remiss had I not linked to your enchanting blog from our page about the Pantheon.
Surprised Claire managed to stay upright in those size 15 skis of yours but clearly she had done her quota of wipe-outs for the evening. Loved the article. Await your next piece with baited breath.
Think Claire has some pay back to do so looking forward to her next one as well.

Bravo Iain. I love your change of style; from the serious to the entertaining. I hope the darling Clarence (Claire) is happy to be your central comedic piece! For those of us who know the delightful lady it is surely more funny. Claire: perhaps you should have stuck to your famous 1-legged dance? But that indubitably goes better with African rhythms.

Wonderful commentary. Thanks for the history lessons. The Pantheon is truly amazing; makes me wonder what other innovations, technology has been lost to the ages.

Loved it! First time visit to Italy in May, the last five days in Rome. Don't think any of us (4 seniors) will be attempting any jetes, perhaps a stately waltz or if we get brave - a twist?

Glad you guys sound like you're still having a good time.
