I went to the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls recently and was blown away by how friendly the people there are. As opposed to the Zim side where I found the people had lost their zest for life - not surprisingly.

As far as hotels go, there are superb hotels on both the Zambian and the Zimbabwean side of the falls. if you aren't on a shoestring like Iain, then have a look at places like the Royal Livingstone on the Zambian sidefor a view from the top of the falls or The Stanley and Livingstone on the Zim side for absolute luxury and pampering.

Really enjoyed reading the article. It managed to both compliment the country (or town at least), in terms of the locals and destinations, without ignoring or overemphasising the crisis that is happening there. Hope you guys are having a fantastic time so far!!
Cape Towns a bit dull without you guys...
